Los Angeles Airport

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), located in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles, is a critical gateway not only to the city, but to all Pacific Rim countries. LAX is among the world's busiest airports, serving as a major hub for international and domestic flights connecting travelers to a myriad of destinations around the globe.
LAX is served by a wide range of airlines, including major U.S. carriers such as American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines, as well as a wide range of international airlines such as Air New Zealand, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Emirates. This diversity allows direct flights to many cities across continents including Asia, Europe, Latin America and Oceania, making it a critical hub in the global air transportation network.
The airport consists of nine passenger terminals arranged in a U-shape, with a central terminal. Each terminal is equipped with a variety of amenities and services designed to enhance the passenger experience. These include a wide variety of restaurants ranging from fast food to upscale establishments, retail outlets offering last-minute travel essentials and luxury items, and numerous services such as currency exchange, free Wi-Fi and VIP lounges.
For ground transportation, LAX offers many parking options including short-term, long-term and economy parking. Car rental facilities are conveniently located off the airport grounds, and free shuttles take cars to the terminals. The airport is also well served by cabs, ride-sharing services, and public transportation, providing easy access to and from the airport.
LAX's importance to travelers lies in its extensive flight network, comprehensive amenities, and strategic location as it serves as a key entry and exit point for millions of people each year. Its role in providing global connectivity and supporting local and national economies underscores its importance as a critical infrastructure asset in the U.S. air transportation system.
